Home Learning Tasks

The document below contains a range of reading, writing and maths activities which can be completed during our distance learning. Please complete them in the small green books which were sent out with your packs.

Science Week Part 2


As part of science week a teamed with 3F to create 4 different experiments, where we made observations on what we saw. 



On a Tuesday in Spring 2 Term, we have an hour of golf which consists on a number of different challenges where the children need to select an appropriate power whilst being accurate in their shot.

Forest School 


This week in forest school we created a spiders web and a rope course.

Science Week


The week commencing 9th March was Science week, we started we the week with a visit from the street scientist, who did a number of experiments with the children.

Healthy Living Workshop


On Monday 24th February, we were joined by Peter, who is an Olympic volleyball player, he talked about having a balanced diet and the different types of foods that we should all be eating.

Roman Bread- We selected some ingredients based on what the Romans would have ate and made our own bread.

Richard The Roman


We were very lucky to have 'That History Bloke' visit during our Roman Invasion topic. Richard told us all about the Roman army, the weapons they used and we even got the chance to handle some artefacts. We learned how to play a game called Rota and thoroughly enjoyed playing this with our friends. We also had the opportunity to try writing some Latin letters using ink. 

Gymnastics- Look at all of the skills we have been mastering this half term!

Weather Guages- We designed and made our own weather guages so that we could collect weather data for our local area.

David Hockney- Wild Weather Series

Pollination- We explored the part that bees play in helping to grow new plants.

Stone Age Artefacts- We enjoyed looking at some Stone Age artefacts and asking questions about them to try to find out more about the past.

Stone Age Tools- We used our knowledge of the Stone Age to design and make some weapons and tools.

Hunter-Gatherers- We explored Stone Age diets by hunting some animals and gathering some berries, fruits and nuts.
