Welcome to Y1C!

Owl Babies

Our special class story this half term is 'Owl Babies'. We love this story! We have been painting owl masks to use to help us to act out the story, using language from the text.

This term in Science our topic is Animals Including Humans. We have been thinking about parts of the human body and the amazing things we can do using our 5 senses.

Richard 'That History Bloke'

We had a brilliant time learning about Victorian children and family life with Richard. We explored Victorian artefacts including toys and household objects.

Visiting Our Friends In Reception

We made non-fiction books filled with what we have learned about owls. We decided that we would like to share our kmowledge and our fantastic work with our friends in Mrs Goulty-Brown's reception class.

As a special reward for children who have achieved at least 95% attendance this half term, Mr Parkin brought his 'Ka Boogie' bus to school. Children recorded their own version of 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' onto a CD for the class to enjoy. We had so much fun!!
