Rainbows Nursery

Welcome to Rainbow Nursery

We have been learning about Diwali. The children have learnt about what happens at Diwali. They have chosen different materials to decorate a diva lamp and have been creating Rangoli patterns using loose parts.

Exploring Autumn

The children were given autumn treasure bags to collect signs of autumn over the half term holiday.

Natural art. After reading the story 'Leafman,' the children made their own art with the leaves we collected on our autumn walk.

Exploring pumpkins using our senses and making pumpkin soup.

Maths. We sorted leaves by colour and which colour we had most of and least of. The children counted and used great mathematical language.

Our Autumn walk. We looked for signs of autumn and collected leaves. We even found some apples on the trees.

Making Faces

We have been creating faces from loose parts and natural materials. Can you guess who they are?

Forest School

We had great fun at our first session of forest school. We explored the forest school environment, climbed trees, played in the willow tunnels and shelters, looked for mini-beasts and dug in the mud. It was great fun! The best news we had was that Papa Troll had got married and we also have Mama Troll to watch our learning at forest school.

Finding Vegetables

We went across to the vegetable patch to see what had grown. We were surprised to find courgettes, broad beans and peas. We even found a little caterpillar!

We have all settled into Nursery and have been having lots of fun doing a range of activities.
