Year 3C making and testing our Viking boats- not one sank, great engineering skills!

I am really looking forward to teaching Year 3 at Lingey House this year and have been so impressed with the fantastic start which they have already made! I know they will continue to work hard and make us all proud throughout the year.

Autumn 1 Topic

Our topic this half term is Romans, and they have already begun to investigate why the Romans came to Britain. We are looking forward to a visitor to teach us more, and doing Celtic art, Roman DT, learning about Boudicca and lots more. We are so lucky to have a wealth of resources in the North East, so if you visit any of the museums or parts of the Roman wall, we would love to see pictures and hear about it!

Times table facts

We are working hard already in Year 3 to improve our tables knowledge. We are working on knowing all tables facts for the 2, 3, 5, and 10 times tables by Christmas latest, then we can begin 4 and 8 times table facts. If you manage to get any extra practice done at home that would be brilliant, you could try this link below to help....
