School Uniform

The last date for ordering School Uniform for delivery before the summer holidays is Wednesday 13th June. There will be another order sent to the supplier in September, for delivery later that month.

Lingey House.JPG

We feel that it is important that children come to school in appropriate clothes. The school uniform consists of navy blue sweatshirt, polo shirt in white, sky blue or navy blue and grey skirt, pinafore or trousers. Sweatshirts with the embroidered school logo may be purchased from the school office. Shoes (not trainers) are desirable. Please mark all sweatshirts and coats clearly with your child's name. In the interests of safety, jewellery should not be worn.

Dinner Money

Please note the cost of school meals will increase after Easter. A school meal will cost £1.70 per day (£8.50 per week) as from 16th April 2007. Dinner money should be paid in full on a Monday using the envelopes provided.

School Lunch.gif

Our school meal provider, Gateshead Council, has, despite making every possible saving, experienced an increase in both food and labour costs over the past year. The subsequent price increase has been kept to the absolute minimum, and Gateshead Council still has one of the lowest meal prices in the country.

School meals can be paid in advance by cash or cheque made payable to Gateshead Council.

School meals must be paid for on a Monday each week. If a child is ill, payments should be made on the day your child returns to school.

Lingey House 10 - White Mere 0

The football team's fantastic run continued as they recorded a 10-0 win against White Mere. A first-half brace from Connor, along with goals from Jordan, Luke and Shaun had Lingey 5-0 up at half-time. Five more goals were to follow in the second half through Jordan (2), Luke, Connor and Adam to cap a memorable night for the home side.

If this form can be continued, then there is every chance that the league trophy will soon be paraded at Lingey!

10% Holiday Discount

We are pleased to announce that you can receive a 10% discount on holidays booked with Hays Travel.

Schools report that a major proportion of pupil absence is due to family holidays during term time and we all understand that this is because prices increase during the school holidays.

The scheme was launched last January and many families have already saved huge amounts off their holiday. However, more families could be using the saving to get away during school holidays. The scheme has now been extended to August 2008.

Hays Travel Logo.gif

There is no catch with this offer. All you have to do is check when the official school holidays are, complete a voucher and have it signed by your child's school. If you can't get to school to get the voucer signed, take along proof that your child attends one of Gateshead's schools, such as a school report.

Vouchers can be redeemed at the following branches:

Gateshead,
Tyne & Wear,
NE8 1EE.
