Year 5/6 boys Autumn Football tournament.

Over the last two weeks (22nd and 29th September), 9 of our Year 5 and 6 boys have been representing the school in a local football competition. First of all they went to Colgate Primary School for their semi-final and played brilliantly. They went on to win their group without losing a game. This meant they qualified for the final.

The final was at Oakfield Junior School and once again the boys played excellently and had a fantastic attitude and represented the school fantastically. The boys tried their hardest and managed to finish in third place. Mr Clydesdale and Mr Iley took the boys to the competition both weeks and were so proud of the way in which they performed. The attitude all 9 boys had throughout was fantastic. Well done!!

Training hard after school!

Lingey House Primary School has a commitment to providing pupils with exciting new opportunities to develop their sporting skills and get involved with the wider sporting community.

One particular sporting opportunity we are extremely proud of is our link with, local football club, Felling Magpies. Felling Magpies have shown great generosity by providing the school with a new football strip and have supported members of staff to offer our pupils high quality football training sessions.

Additionally this year Lingey House Primary School is extremely pleased to announce the development of our first ever full girl’s football squad. In training sessions they have proven themselves to be a team to watch out for in future competitions!
