Reception/Year 1 Busy Bees
250g plain
flour
1 teaspoon
bicarbonate of soda
2 teaspoons
ground ginger
50g butter
100g soft brown sugar
1 beaten
egg
2 tablespoons golden syrup
What to do
• Put the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and butter into a bowl.
• Rub the mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs.
• Add the beaten egg and golden syrup, and mix together
to form a dough.
• Roll out
the dough thinly on a floured board.
• Cut into aliens using a gingerbread mancutter, and place on a buttered baking tray.
• Bake at
160°C (Gas mark 3) for approximately ten to 15 minutes.
Leave to
cool.
Once the biscuits are cool enough you can decorate them however you like. We used green icing sugar and our favourite sweets. Take a look!
