School Meal Price
From Monday 30th March the price of our school meals will be £1.80 a day or £9 per week.
Gateshead Council's School Meals Service, who provide our meals, are recognised for being one of the best in the country, but have faced increasing food costs this year. Gateshead School Meals have made every efoort in order to keep the price increase to the absolute minimum of 5p.
At £1.80, a two-course school lunch is excellent value for money, and our menus offer plenty of fresh meat and poultry, and fruit and vegetables. Only quality ingredients are used, where possible from local suppliers, to prepare fresh meals, cooked and served by our skilled and experienced team. School meals offer children the chance to eat a nutritious tasty meal in a sociable, friendly environment.
School meals should be paid for weekly/monthly in advance by cash or cheque (made payable to Gateshead Council).

Spud Busters
After half-term the school cook will be providing 'Spud Busters' as an alternative to the usual school meal. Those children requesting a 'Spud Buster' meal will be served a full jacket potato with a choice of filling such as tuna and sweet corn, beans, or cheese plus a selection from the sald bar in addition to the usual dessert.
The 'Spud Buster' choice will run for a trial period over the course of the next half-term. Children staying for school meals will need to choose either a 'Spud Buster' lunch or a regular school meal when the dinner register is taken every morning. Please consult your school meal menu and prepare your child to make this choice. Additional copies of the current menu are available at the school office.
May I take this opportunity to remind all parents that school meals should be paid for in advance on a Monday morning for any meals required during the week. Those parents who we have to regularly remind about unpaid dinner money may be asked to either provide a packed lunch for their child or collect them for home dinner.
