This week Mr Mackley’s numeracy class have been investigating 2D and 3D shapes. Children have been learning about properties of 2D and 3D shapes, how to create nets of 3D shapes and creating 3D models from 2D drawings.
What 2D and 3D shapes can you see around school? Have a look around at play time and create a list of what shapes can be seen. I wonder which shape is the most common?

I loved learning about shape when I was at school. It was called geometry then! I wonder how many of your parents can remember doing geometry when they were at school.
