This week in numeracy Year 3 have been learning how to sort data. Here are some of the different activities that we have been doing.
Carroll Diagrams are logic diagrams used for grouping things in a yes/no fashion. Look Year 3 make it look easy.
We then moved onto Venn Diagrams and decided it would be a great idea to use ourselves as the data to sort. Great Fun!!! Venn diagrams normally consist of overlapping circles. For instance, in a two-set Venn diagram, one circle may represent the group (boys), while another circle may represent the set of (brown hair, including brown haired girls). The overlapping area (intersection) would then represent the set of all (brown haired boys). Girls with any other hair colour would be outside the circles.
Will someone please tell Mr. Hawdon where to stand!!!
