Great North Baton Challenge

As part of our commitment to the Great North Baton Challenge, children will be taking part in a Sponsored Walked on Friday 7th November to raise funds for the new Great North Children's Hospital appeal.

Due to be completed by 2010, this landmark development, based on the site of the RVI, will be a centre for excellence in children's healthcare for this region, similar to Great Ormond Street in London.

The new children's hospital will be a fantastic resource, where children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions from the North-East and beyond, can receive the very best treatment. For the very first time, children's services will be under one roof, including a dedicated accident and emergency department, out-patient area and imaging suite.

We hope that you will support your child in helping to collect sponsors but we ask that this is restricted to family and friends. Please complete the attached sponsor form and return it to school after the half-term holiday.

I really liked taking part in the baton challenge. It was great to raise money for charity.
